Matt Cutts says Send Him Scraper Sites

Google’s search head honcho is asking the public’s help in cleaning up a nasty problem- Have you ever seen blogs that have seemingly copied the content of a business or authority, all of a sudden out rank that authority for the same keywords?

Scrapers, or programs that are designed to scrape content from the web, are often used to mimic authority, and provide a good backlink. The problem with this is that it is usually a “mash up” yes I said mash up, of various content sources that are combined to create one piece that makes little to no sense in its entirety in the way of fluidity.

So if you find such content Matt has humbly requested us to report it in this handy dandy doc. The problem with scraped content outranking the source is of course the fact that provides a very poor and unreliable user experience.
